19. Remuneration

19.1 Annual Salary

The annual salary schedule, recommended by the President and voted by the Board of Trustees is established after an analysis of the salary schedules of local institutions, the salary levels of comparably educated Florida Hospital employees, the salary schedule for faculty set by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and changes in the Cost of Living Index.

19.2 Level Advancement/Rank Promotion

Level Advancement can be awarded every year in recognition of consistency of performance within the current rank as determined and documented by the Annual Faculty Evaluation. (See Ranks ). Rank Promotion is granted in recognition that the faculty member has met the criteria of the next academic rank. Those criteria include mission, teaching/education, scholarship, service, and citzenship. (See Ranks ).

A level advancement/rank promotion is accompanied by a salary increase. The salary schedule set by the Board of Trustees shall define the salary ranges within each of the levels of the four academic ranks.
