NURS 310 - Adult Health I (4)Prerequisites: NURS 220 , NURS 225 , NURS 230 , NURS 240 , NURS 235 , NURS 265 Corequisite: NURS 330 , NURS 315 This course focuses on the application of the nursing process in the provision of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and strengthening the adult patient/client lines of defense and resistance to environmental stressors. The student will provide care for the patient/client experiencing designated stressors affecting the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, developmental, and spiritual variables. The student will provide care within the acute care environment. Both didactic and clinical portions of the course are built on the principles of effective nursing leadership, research, evidence-based practice, and safe delivery of wholistic care. This course includes two credit hours of theory (30 clock-hours) and two credit hours of clinical (90 clock-hours).
