HTCA 545 - Population Health Management (3)

This course will provide students with an introduction to the measurement, analysis, method, language, models and concepts of population health. This course clarifies how an understanding of determinants of health can influence public policy, planning, and research to promote a healthier society and health equity. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of the relationship between health care systems, individual health and population health, and will be able to combine that knowledge with critical thinking to identify, evaluate and address issues in health care and population health collaboratively. They will be able to critically consider the explicit and implicit forces that influence individual and population health and the delivery of health care.
