NRSG 135 - Pharmacology (3)

Prerequisites: NRSG 105 , NRSG 130 , BIOL 102 , BIOL 225  
Corequisite: NRSG 150 , NRSG 140  
This course develops the pharmacology knowledge base of the ASN student with a focus on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug interactions, and adverse drug reactions. The major drug classifications will be studied in terms of their effects on the patient lines of defense and resistance. The student will discuss drug regimens for clients with the purpose of teaching and providing quality care to patients and families. This course includes three credit hours of theory (45 clock hours).
