Program Description

The Applied Data Analytics (ADA) Minor equips students with essential data analyses skills applicable across various fields such as healthcare, engineering, and technology and explores complex and diverse pathways to visualize patterns, relationships, and trends in the world around us. Professionals trained in applied data analytics play a crucial role in interpreting complex data, identifying trends, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. The ADA minor focuses on developing proficiency in data visualizations, employing statistical analyses, learning geographic information systems (GIS), exploring appropriate applications of artificial intelligence systems, and addressing ethical considerations in data science.

Students will gain hands-on experience using real-world datasets and industry-standard tools to translate raw data into actionable insights. The Applied Data Analytics Minor is designed to complement any major by enhancing students’ analytical skills and preparing them for careers in data-driven fields. Graduates of this program will be well-positioned for roles in research, healthcare analytics, public policy, and technology-driven industries.
