General Education Competency Requirements

All students of AdventHealth University must fulfill competencies in general education courses by enrolling in a variety of courses, including English, math, religion, social sciences, humanities, and health and natural sciences. Upon graduation, all students will be able to:

• Describe Christian principles as they apply to health care as a ministry
• Apply quantitative skills to real-life situations
• Communicate effectively in written and oral English language 
• Correlate the principles of natural sciences to health care professions 
• Practice the principles of whole-person care 
• Recognize the complexities of social and psychological environments
