PHTH 790 - Research I: Methods (3)


This course provides students with an overview of quantitative and qualitative research processes. Students explore principles of scientific research, research design, measurement characteristics, applied statistics, data collection, sampling, and general categories of data analyses through critical examination of published studies. Students complete the CITI modules in preparation for the IRB process. This course culminates with faculty-facilitated selection of a research project, either individually or in small student groups.
