SONO 411 - Pediatric Sonography (3)

Prerequisites: BIOL 144 , ENGL 250 , SONO 305 , SONO 309 , SONO 311  
Corequisite: SONO 227 , SONO 431  
All Sonography prerequisites must be completed with a minimum grade of “C+” (2.30).
This course will explore the major areas of pediatric sonographic imaging: the central nervous system, genitourinary system, gastrointestinal system, and musculoskeletal system. Normal anatomy will be reviewed and an in-depth exploration of pathology specific to the pediatric patient will be explored including congenital anomalies and neoplasms. Students will develop a research project to include diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of a pathology.
