OCTH 112 - Applied Anatomy and Kinesiology (3)Prerequisites: BIOL 101 , OCTH 111 This course is designed to introduce the student to the basic principles of biomechanics and kinesiology as they pertain to human movement. The student will learn to identify anatomical landmarks through palpation skills, perform manual muscle testing and goniometry, and be introduced to principles of exercise. Particular emphasis will be placed on movement of the upper extremity, especially as it occurs while engaged in activities of daily living. Two hours lecture; four hours lab. This course meets the requirement for an oral communication course (see Communication Requirements in the Academic Section of the Academic Bulletin).
