PHAS 546 - Healthcare Disparities I (2) This course gives the physician assistant student a foundational basis from which to study human genetics and to introduce developmental pediatrics. Students will explore the role of genetics in the etiology of disease, susceptibility to disease, and management of disease. Students will learn effective methods to uncover a patient’s genetic predisposition and increased risk for disease development. This course also includes normal and abnormal fetal and neonatal development, dysmorphology of motor and cognitive development, and conditions specific to the newborn. Fall
