Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Science

The requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree are as follows:

1. Completion of at least 120 semester credit hour requirements for graduation.

• Completion of the 30 credits of the general education curriculum requirement.
• Completion of the pre-requisite (pre-major) course requirements, if applicable. 

• Completion of the course requirement for the declared major, to satisfy the total credit requirements for graduation.

• Completion of the religion requirement.

• Courses completed with grades lower than a “C” (2.00) will not be applied toward the degree.

2. Completion of the major with a cumulative grade point average as required by each program.

3. Completion of a minimum of 42 upper division credits, to include at least 28 upper division hours in the declared major.

4. Completion of a minimum of 50% of the total required hours for the degree earned in residence at AdventHealth University. A minimum of 30 hours earned at AdventHealth University for those entering a Baccalaureate completion program.

5. Meet the specific requirements for each major as outlined in the department sections of the Academic Catalog.

6. Completion to the service-learning requirement, if applicable (refer to the Service-Learning Requirement section in the Academic Catalog ).

7. Completion of the degree within the appropriate time limits (refer to the Time Limits for Completion of a Program section in the Academic Catalog).
