NRSG 105 - Basic Health Assessment (2)

Prerequisites: BIOL 101 , ENGL 101 , MATH 103 , PSYC 128   
Corequisite: NRSG 130  
This course provides the ASN student with a comprehensive approach to health assessment using the nursing process. It incorporates theory and practice in history taking, physical examination techniques, use of assessment equipment, and health teaching. A wholistic approach that integrates cultural considerations is used as the student learns common variations seen in healthy clients, age-related variations, and common abnormal findings. This course includes 1.5 credit hours of theory (23 clock hours) and 0.5 credit hour of lab (23 clock hours).
