SONO 109 - Sonography Lab Techniques II (GV) (3)

Prerequisites: SONO 103 , SONO 104L , SONO 108  
Corequisite: SONO 105 , SONO 136 , SONO 211  
This course is designed to provide extended hands-on lab opportunities to further enhance basic skills prior to starting the clinical rotation. 

This is a supervised sonography lab with hands-on instruction of sonographic procedures with emphasis on patient care, sonographic terminology, basic knobology, sonographic anatomy scanning planes, and image quality. This course includes learning activities designed to ensure competence in the basic use of the ultrasound equipment and basic exam protocols focusing on abdominal doppler, peripheral vascular and cerebral vascular.
