RSCH 400 - Research Methods in the Health Humanities and Social Sciences (3)Prerequisites: ENGL 102 , STAT 215 This course is an introduction to research methods in the health humanities, which involves the integration of the humanities and social sciences into health and health-related research practices. Students will investigate the conceptual foundations of health humanities and explore representative methods for interpreting, conducting, and representing health-related research (e.g., archival research, ethnography, interviews, surveys, and GIS) with a range of target populations. The course is team-taught by faculty in the Department of Health Humanities and Social Sciences, with each faculty member offering students opportunities to engage with their research interests and expertise. The class culminates in the creation of a research proposal.
