NURS 115 - Introduction to Professional Nursing (2)


This course introduces students to the nursing profession and essential skills needed for success in a baccalaureate nursing program. Students explore the historical aspects of nursing, the evolution of the professional role, and frameworks that guide current nursing practice, with an emphasis on the Neuman Systems Model and clinical reasoning. The student will also learn measures to support success throughout academics and the professional practice of nursing. This course includes two credit hours of theory (30 clock hours).
