NRSG 106 - Health Assessment (4)

Prerequisites: BIOL 101 , ENGL 101 , MATH 103 , NUTR 120 , PSYC 128   
Corequisite: NRSG 106L   
This course provides the student with the basic skills needed for health assessment. Emphasis is on health assessment for adult and older adults. Application of knowledge and skills occurs in a simulated laboratory setting. A strong laboratory focus is provided to enable the learner to demonstrate competence in nursing assessment skills. This course will further highlight the core competencies of caring, communication, critical thinking, ethical/moral, lifelong learning, and professional expertise. The successful completion of this course requires successful completion of the co-requisite laboratory component. This course will have 4 cr hr didactic (60 clock hours).
