NRSG 242 - Medical Surgical Nursing III (5)

Corequisite: NRSG 235 , NRSG 250  
This course will focus on the application of the nursing process in the provision of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention related to environmental stressors. ASN students will provide care for the critical stable patient experiencing stressors affecting the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, developmental, and spiritual variables. Students will provide care within the progressive care environment. This course includes 3.5 credit hours of theory (58 clock hours), and 1.5 credit hours of clinical (67 clock hours).
