NRSG 215 - Medical-Surgical Nursing II (4)

Prerequisites: NRSG 106 , NRSG 106L , NRSG 125 , NRSG 125C , NRSG 125L , NRSG 165 , NRSG 165C  
Corequisite: NRSG 215C   
This course further expands on the nursing practice with application to the care of adult and older patients with stable and unstable conditions. Further expands on pharmacology concepts and drugs used to treat stable and unstable acute and chronic illnesses. Various nursing and client educational content related to pharmacotherapy will be discussed.  Emphasis is placed on the health-illness cycle and nursing care to diverse adult and elderly populations. Upon completion, students will be able to provide safe, competent, and comprehensive care to patients. This course will have 4 cr hr didactic (60 clock hours).
